Hal Eagar works in NYC Downtown theatre as a computer programer. Hovering somewhere between Artist - Technologist - Designer he enjoys making "things" even if those things are as intangible as digital media-scapes and edgy theatre no one will ever get to see. I have made some tangible things in, two cute children, and since they take up a lot more of my time and my mind, and there are people who want to read about them they have taken over the blog just like they take over everything else :)

Digital Performance: A History of New Media in Theater, Dance, Performance Art, and Installation
Digital Performance: A History of New Media in Theater, Dance, Performance Art, and Installation
by Steve Dixon
The MIT Press - A Leonardo Book
In his new book Steve Dixon takes a look at the last decade of "digital performance". And I can be gratified to see that I get my name in there on at least one page. And DPI and GSRT get their fair share of mentions as well as many of the other NYC artists I look to as pioneers of digital performance. I've just scratched the surface so far but I'm enjoying the read.
